Walmart loaded with ammo
 

Stopped @ Walmart in Spencer,IA. Had all kinds of ammo bought 3 boxes of federal 9mm for $9.97 ea, had all sizes of ammo in stock.

This appears to be a localized anomaly. The Wal-Marts around here, along with gun shops, are still sparse. WM is about 20% of "normal" (filled shelf space; that is, slots for specific products filled), and gun shops about 40-50%.

Online is similar. Most ammo still out of stock at the big .coms. Smaller online vendors like ATG and Widener's are better stocked, but Prvi Partizan at Widener's looks like it's going to be done for for awhile very soon.

My 2 Wally Worlds had a TON of ammo. I bought a bunch of shotgun and .40 S&W ammo. Let the good times roll...

South Florida has zip, last trip all they had in pistol ammo was one box of 44 magnum

Almost shocked here , sure deer season for modern firearms getting ready to open but WM here had 3 boxes .223 , 1 box 30-06 and 2 boxes weatherby .300 mag , not another round of any rifle cal. at all .
2 days ago they had a full shelf of every rifle cal. With that many boxes gone and a small amount of hunters here in my county opening day might just be filled with 300 people shooting blindly at a rapid rate into the woods and looking for anything that may have been hit when they run out of ammo.And yes I've heard full auto fire on opening day here .

The wal-mart here in West Virginia had quite a bit of .45 and .40, a few boxes of 9mm and any rifle ammo you wanted....

Though the 9mm was $2 more/box then I was used to paying in Arizona before I moved here.

I wonder in WV has some kind of extra ammo tax or something? Can I just attribute the increased price to "increased logistics" to get it to this store?

I was able to purchase several boxes in Colorado. It is a shame I had a boating accident on the way home.

was there today they had any thing you wanted 9 , 45 , 40 , 32 .38, 44 ,357, 22 long and short , first time i have seen this in some time

There's generally pistol ammo unloaded nightly at my local Wal-Mart but you have to get there between midnight and 9am to definately get any. They've been decent about stocking rifle and shotgun ammo. All of the most common rifle ammo is usually in stock but you won't find any huge quantities.

After about a year of empty shelves the Wal-Marts here in central OK are now stocked with a lot of ammo - the highest quantity is the 9mm. They have a 6 box limit.

I was at Walmart last night. NW Houston, had ammo of all calibers, tons of 9mm & 22 long. 4-8 boxes of everything else. Wife was rushing me, so I didn't catch the prices.

I am in shock. After literally months of trying to find any 9mm at Walmart I finally struck paydirt. I usually call the sporting goods desk about every three or four days and today I finally got a "yes" and almost fell over. I was able to snag the limit of 6 boxes of Federal at $9.99 per box.

Just this weekend I spent considerably more at the gun show on some winchester white box at $15 per box of #50. Up until today that had been the best price by far I had been able to get anywhere for the past year.

I truly hope that this is a good sign for our local walmart about better supply on ammo. I know some areas have been stocked for months but around here supply has been non existent.

I went into the local WM yesterday and took a look - no handgun ammo at all... perhaps this is new policy? Can anybody else in CA report on this?

Wally World here wont sell ammo after 9pm.

Ours was the same way.. no ammo after 10pm (Thats when they stop staffing the guncounter). With enough complaints, they eventually got a couple of the night mgrs trained or whatever so now they'll sell you what you want even at 3 in the morning.

our walmarts have low stock .....but they have some stock...

been able to pick up several boxes of winchester 9mm practice ammo @ approx 20.50 a 100

when ever i go through they will seem to have one or two boxes on the shelf

Here in MI, deer season is open, our WM had quite a bit of shotgun slugs, 30-30 and 270, NO pistol rds to speak, and very little of anything that was a former military caliber.
